Meet the Team

  • Owner/ CEO

    Chief Executive Officer and founder of Trailblazer Benefit Solutions started his insurance career over 15 years ago after spending four years in the Navy.

    Over the last 15 years Josh has worked with or managed over 2000 different companies and assisted in the sales of over $100 million of voluntary insurance benefits. During this time Josh has developed relationships with countless insurance professional and attributes his success to assisting them achieve their goals.

    Josh began his career as an Aflac agent and during his 10+ year tenure operated at most levels of field management along with Corporate positions. In this time Josh recognized the need for a professional enrollment firm to assist in the execution of successfully implementing worksite voluntary benefits for agents and broker partners and hence Trailblazer Benefit Solutions was formed.

    Josh and his team focus on helping all companies and broker partners successfully execute on implementing voluntary worksite benefits. Josh is always looking to build new strategic partners with insurance professionals within the market place.

  • Vice President of Operations

    April is a jack of all trades, she has over a 30 year combined background in business finance, human resource, the medical field and insurance. April began her insurance career in 2016. She is not only a licensed health & life agent but has also assisted in the management of over 2200 clients. With her vast experience April is a well rounded addition to our team.

  • Senior Manager of Enrollment Coordination

    Jennifer Tench has been working in the insurance industry since 2013. Throughout her work in different insurance positions, she has obtained a well-rounded insurance experience. Over the years, she has established close relationships with clients and business owners and emphasizes on long-term relationship building.

    Jennifer was born and raised in Virginia. During her free time, she loves spending time with friends and family. She also likes learning new things and taking on new challenges.

    Jennifer enjoys helping others and is looking forward to working with you.

  • Senior Enrollment Manager

    Charlita Millard is a VA resident and a licensed Life and Health professional. She has 17 years of experience in supplemental health/voluntary benefits with a strong focus on worksite enrollment. Her background includes management for most of her tenure and a top producer for many years with one of the leading supplemental carriers in the nation. Her strengths are a high level of customer service, strong attention to detail and case management. She is a visionary and solution orientated. She has enrollment experience on platforms such as Employee Navigator and Selerix to name a few. She is also multi-appointed with several carriers and in many states to include but not limited to VA, IL, PA, WV, OH, MD, DC, NC, SC, GA and FL.

  • Senior Manager of Technology Implementation

    Shanda Parker is a licensed Health and Life professional. Over the last 8 years she has worked alongside business owners and broker partners to help educate and service employees through voluntary benefits. With a focus on technology, Shanda is proficient in building and enrolling on enrollment platforms, such as Employee Navigator, to create a seamless enrolling process for both core and voluntary benefits. She believes in having a one-on-one conversation with employees to assist them with making the best decisions for themselves and their families.

  • Enrollment Manager/ Financial Solutions Coordinator

    Caleb Burton Graduated with a Finance Degree from VCU and has been working in the insurance industry since 2022 with an emphasis on financial solutions for our clients. In his short time in the industry he has differentiated himself from the pack by going above and beyond for his clients.

    In his free time he enjoys coaching Basketball and spending time with his family.

  • Bilingual Enrollment Manager

    Stephanie VanHouten, born and raised in New Jersey she is a mother of two. Stephanie has multiple years experience in the corporate world. She started in the insurance industry in 2016. Since her start she has achieved numerous accolades, training new agents and going above and beyond for her clients. Stephanie is well versed on multiple enrollment platforms and her being bilingual ensures no employee is missed.

  • Senior Enrollment Manager

    Felicia joined TBS in January 2021​ as a ​Enrollment Manager . As a Benefits Consultant, Felicia focuses on providing comprehensive supplemental benefits to fit the needs of her clients. Felicia's favorite part of working at TBS is that she gets to speak with her clients and build trusting relationships every day.

    She began her career as a Health and Life Licensed agent in March of 2013, she later moved into a District Management role in 2014. In 2019, Felicia became a State Trainer and assisted in the training and development of new agents. As a ​Senior Enrollment Manager, she has in-depth knowledge in handling Health and life claims and finding her clients the right coverage for their needs. Felicia is also committed to serving her community and is involved with organizations such as the local Chamber of Commerce and Richmond Children's Hospital

    When not at work, Felicia enjoys fly-fishing, spending time with family and friends, going on Sunday drives around town, and going to the movie theater.

Our team of seasoned professional has hundreds of years of combined insurance experience to help with the education of employees. We strive in every case to be an extension of the HR department and drive strategies implemented by our broker partners.
